How to build a Bitcoin / Litecoin Mining Rig in India?

There are a multitude of articles out there guiding you enough to help you build a cryptocurrency mining rig. But in this post I want to cover how a beginner in India can get his/her hands readily on a mining rig hardware in a matter of few clicks. I have just provided Flipkart links for each hardware needed for this project. I want to be fair that this setup is good to begin with mining of Litecoin or any other Scrypt based coins, but for Bitcoin its not enough considering the present difficulty level and extreme ASIC miners. But don’t be discouraged!! You can always mine other alternative coins and trade them profitably for Bitcoins in virtual currency exchanges like Bter or Cryptsy . You can find out out the difficulty level and profitability of various alternative coins here http://dustcoin.com/mining After you go through this guide you can read this post to know how to setup your mining software. So whats our budget? Configuration Cost (Maximum) Processing P...

How to pool mine BBQCoin (BQC)?

Pool Mining BBQCoin is similar to coins like Litecoin which use Scrypt algorithm. When newcomers to mining find no tutorials of BBQCoin mining they are disheartened. So I thought of coming up with this post. Why should I mine BBQCoin? There are still a lot of people who missed the Bitcoin boom and its already too late for them to mine with their GPU because Bitcoin miners have come up with specific hardware like ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Chip) and Bitcoin Erupters which gives them a cutting edge over GPU in terms of processing / hashing power. What makes BBQCoin different from Bitcoin is it uses Scrypt algorithm, which is different from SHA-256 algorithm of Bitcoin. That’s another reason why Litecoin raised to fame. So it means you can basically mine with your high end graphics card and make reasonable profit without investing much in ASICs which are of no use other than mining. At present level of difficulty (1.97 for BBQCoin compared to 609482679 of Bitcoin while...

The Debate on Phasing Out HCFCs from India

The usage of refrigerants is governed by two International agreements. Montreal Protocol (MP) - Aims to prevent ozone depletion by reducing ozone depleting gases emission. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) - Aims to control global warming by reducing green house gas emissions. As per UNFCCC developed nations are mandated to reduce their carbon foot print significantly in a phased manner and also required to fund the cost of transition of poor nations to technologies that have less impact on global warming. The carbon emission savings of individual industrialized nations are measured in percentage reduction. As a part of this design the carbon emission savings of poor nations achieved with the help of a individual industrialized nation can be accounted in the percentage reduction of that nation. As per Montreal Protocol(MP) all member nations are required to reduce the emission of ozone depleting gases in a phased manner. Unlike UNFCCC, MP doesn’t...

Remove Empty Music Tracks Created by Media Provider in Dev Tools of Custom Android ROM

For Pros : The solution is to reset the Data of ‘Media Storage’ under App Settings. For Others : Please tolerate the pain of reading through my post. I installed CyanogenMod custom ROM in my Sony Ericsson WT19i a couple months ago. Rest of my experience with my phone after that has been simply a honeymoon. Until I messed up with this option called ‘Media Provider’ under ‘Dev Tools’ in CyanogenMod. Media Provider is used to simulate music tracks in your music player. After tapping the ‘Insert 20 Albums’ it created some 20 tracks (as expected) with satanic Latin names. At that time I had two music players – Apollo and Google Music, both of which reflected these ghostly tracks and often irritated by interrupting the playlist. Every time I had to skip the tracks manually. After a deep web search I found the solution to remove the tracks. You may not find the audio files anywhere in your SD Card (But some people have removed it by deleting files inside a folder called ‘Media’. But le...

People and their goals

Just a thought for the day on how different people perceive their goals. Understanding the way people make their progress towards goals determines whether they will achieve it or not. Based on type of focus they make people can be classified under two categories. People focusing on ultimate goals These are the people that focus much on their goals. They can be inspired by often reminding of their ultimate goals. They get satisfied by sheer percentage of progress they make. There will always be procrastination in achieving goals. So they can be kindled by setting a little bit higher benchmark than actual goal. Most of the society thinks all the people are of this kind. People focusing on the stepping stones to ultimate goals These type of people in the first place had chose their goals for the love of work they do on the way to goals. They sometimes even forget about their goals but they simply focus on everyday tasks, accomplishment of which gives them satisfaction. Sometimes they...

Aadhaar Card Enrolment Process - A Quick Glance

Today I got enrolled for Aadhaar card provision in Kanchipuram. I just thought of coming up with a post on the procedure. Before that please ensure the below points while applying for Aadhaar card.: Male citizens wearing round neck shirts or t-shirts were not allowed to enroll. So you better get dressed up in a collared outfit. As a proof of identity and for easy processing the agents require you to have your Census receipt and Ration card with you. Each family will have a census receipt issued earlier during Census 2011 by the Government. The receipt will have NPR ( National Population Registry ) Number. This number has all the preliminary information like number of family members and their name, address and the contact number. The census receipts look like this. You can optionally provide your Bank account number during the enrolment process to be associated with your details. I will recommend this as it would help in future verification scenarios. So better have your bank acc...
